We aim to be an attractive employer in line with our ambition to attract and retain talented staff and to develop as a pension fund.

The Fund works proactively to identify and secure the skills we need. Through annual performance appraisals for all staff, we identify areas for development for the coming year based on individual and business targets.

Employees take part in internal briefings with guest speakers from outside the organisation and also attend training courses, seminars and conferences to ensure we constantly build our knowledge base and grow as individuals and as an organisation. AP3 also seeks to develop internal competency levels by offering staff new challenges within the organisation. The aim here is to enable employees to expand their specialist knowledge and enjoy a stimulating career with AP3.

Our employees are important to us

We prioritise creating a business culture and environment in which our employees thrive and can develop their careers. We conduct an employee survey once every two years to measure how staff see the Fund. The survey highlights the areas where AP3 has moved forward and pinpoints areas for improvement.

Health and wellness

AP3 employees are accustomed to intensive working days and a demanding work environment. It is therefore important that the Fund as an employer strikes a good balance between work and leisure to safeguard our employees’ health in the long term. We offer all staff regular health check-ups and an exercise subsidy. Sickness absence remained low in 2015.

Internal ethical guidelines

AP3’s internal code of conduct sets out rules on entertainment, gifts, outside employment, conflicts of interest and private securities trading. The Fund has zero tolerance for bribes or corruption. The code of conduct is revised on an ongoing basis and forms an integral part of every new employee’s introductory training programme. Any employee who suspects irregularities or non-compliance with our ethical guidelines can notify the compliance officer. The compliance officer investigates all cases that come in and reports directly to the board and CEO.

AP3 has effective processes in place to manage working conditions, diversity and health and safety. We also have clear guidelines on how to handle discrimination, harassment, bullying or abusive behaviour.
