World-class asset management
AP3 has an important social mission and role in the Swedish state income pension system. AP3’s assignments and large fund capital and almost 75 employees in combination with our way of working and quick decision-making processes lead to the fund being both an attractive investment partner and employer. Asset management with well-integrated sustainability
AP3 manages a globally diversified portfolio consisting of equities, interest rates, credits, currency and alternative investments such as unlisted equities, real estate, forestry and infrastructure investments. For AP3, it is important to create long-term value both in the choice of investments and in the management of the companies in our portfolio. We have an extensive sustainability responsibility that is well integrated into our investment operations. Our sustainability responsibility includes both active corporate governance as well as a responsible approach and advocacy work on both environmental and social issues.
World-class business support and control
Business support and control – led by AP3’s Chief Risk Officer / Chief Financial Officer – is responsible for the fund’s support and control functions. The department consists of several functional areas:
Risk control and Return analysis – responsible for daily valuation, control and analysis of the portfolio.
Business control – responsible for the daily reconciliation with counterparties.
Finance and Accounting – responsible for the fund’s financial reporting and financial statements.
Law – responsible for agreements, contracts and legal issues.
IT – responsible for the fund’s IT infrastructure.
Other departments
Administration and Office Services
HR – is responsible for the fund’s all HR processes to attract, develop and retain world-class employees
